Hi, my name is Patrick Woolston, I am 11 years old and live in Farmington Pennsylvania. I enjoy school, sports, and nature, especially birding in the Spring. This is my 4th year making a year list and this year is my best ever! I observe birds every day, and get out often in nature in beautiful south west PA! So far this year I have seen 169 different species and hope to see many more lifers!
On Saturday, May 10, 2025 I will travel with my dad to Cape May NJ and joint a team of my friends from NY State, called the Valiant Vortex Vultures! We will be out in search of birds as part of New Jersey Audubon’s World Series of Birding, the longest running birding competition and fundraiser in the US. We will try to get as many different species in one day, and hope to beat our record from last year of 140!
