World Series of Birding

Powerline Peepers

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Powerline Peepers will be out in search of birds as part of New Jersey Audubon’s World Series of Birding, the longest running birding competition and fundraiser in the US.

New Jersey Audubon and PSE&G have a long-standing collaborative relationship to document bird species along transmission line rights-of-way, to assess species response to targeted habitat management activities, and to improve wildlife habitat in these areas. These areas provide critical habitat for variety of bird species, including Golden-winged Warbler, Prairie Warbler, and other birds of conservation concern. This is our fifth year participating in the World Series of Birding, and we will be counting species along PSEG’s rights-of-ways to highlight the diversity of bird species using these areas.

Our team is sponsored by PSE&G and will be raising funds for New Jersey Audubon’s Research Department to support this partnership and other research and monitoring efforts throughout New Jersey. You will receive a confirmation email after you donate and we will let you know how our team performs on the Big Day!

Thank you for supporting the Powerline Peepers and New Jersey Audubon’s research efforts!
